1 始原(アルケー)において言理(ロゴス)が有った, そして言理は神へ向かって有った, そして言理は神で有った.
Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 それは有った, 始源において, 神へ向かって.
οὗτος ἦν ἐν ἀρχῇ πρὸς τὸν θεόν.
The same was in the beginning with God.
3 全てのものどもは彼を通して生起した, そして彼から離れて生起しなかった, 一つの生起したものも.
πάντα δι᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ χωρὶς αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο οὐδὲ ἓν ὃ γέγονεν.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 彼において生命(ゾーエー)が有った, そして生命は人間たちの光(ポース)で有った.
ἐν αὐτῷ ζωὴ ἦν, καὶ ἡ ζωὴ ἦν τὸ φῶς τῶν ἀνθρώπων,
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 そして光は闇において現れ, そして闇は彼を把握しなかった.
καὶ τὸ φῶς ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ φαίνει, καὶ ἡ σκοτία αὐτὸ οὐ κατέλαβεν.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 人間が生起した 神から送り出された者が, その名はヨハネ.
Ἐγένετο ἄνθρωπος ἀπεσταλμένος παρὰ θεοῦ, ὄνομα αὐτῷ Ἰωάννης.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 それは証のために来た, 光について証するために, 全てのものどもが彼を通して信頼するために.
οὗτος ἦλθεν εἰς μαρτυρίαν, ἵνα μαρτυρήσῃ περὶ τοῦ φωτός, ἵνα πάντες πιστεύσωσι δι᾽ αὐτοῦ.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 彼はあの光で有ったのではない, しかし光について証するために.
οὐκ ἦν ἐκεῖνος τὸ φῶς, ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα μαρτυρήσῃ περὶ τοῦ φωτός.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 光が 真のものが有った, それは世界(コスモス)に来て全ての人間たちを照らしている.
ἦν τὸ φῶς τὸ ἀληθινόν, ὃ φωτίζει πάντα ἄνθρωπον ἐρχόμενον εἰς τὸν κόσμον.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 彼は世界の中に有った, そして世界は彼を通して生起した, そして世界は彼を識らなかった.
ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ ἦν, καὶ ὁ κόσμος δι᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ ὁ κόσμος αὐτὸν οὐκ ἔγνω.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 彼は彼のものどもの中に来た, そして彼のものどもは彼を引き受けなかった.
εἰς τὰ ἴδια ἦλθε, καὶ οἱ ἴδιοι αὐτὸν οὐ παρέλαβον.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 しかし彼を摑んだ者はだれでも,彼らに神の子ら(テクナ・テウー)に生起する権能(エクスーシアー)を彼は与えた, その名に信頼する者どもに,
ὅσοι δὲ ἔλαβον αὐτόν, ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς ἐξουσίαν τέκνα θεοῦ γενέσθαι, τοῖς πιστεύουσιν εἰς τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ,
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 彼らは血の中からでもなく, 肉体の意志の中からでもなく, 男の意志の中からでもなく, しかし神の中から生まれた.
οἳ οὐκ ἐξ αἱμάτων οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος σαρκὸς οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος ἀνδρὸς ἀλλ᾽ ἐκ θεοῦ ἐγεννήθησαν.
which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 そしてその言理(ロゴス)は肉体に生起して我々の中に住み, 我々はその栄誉(ドクサ)を見つめた, 父からの一人子のものなる, 恩恵(カリス)と真実(アレーテイアー)に満ちた栄誉を.
καὶ ὁ λόγος σὰρξ ἐγένετο καὶ ἐσκήνωσεν ἐν ἡμῖν, καὶ ἐθεασάμεθα τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, δόξαν ὡς μονογενοῦς παρὰ πατρός, πλήρης χάριτος καὶ ἀληθείας.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 ヨハネは彼について証しこう言って叫んだ: それで有る 私が言ったのは: 私の後に来る者は私より前に生起した, それゆえ私の第一で有る.
Ἰωάννης μαρτυρεῖ περὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ κέκραγεν λέγων· οὗτος ἦν ὃν εἶπον· ὁ ὀπίσω μου ἐρχόμενος ἔμπροσθέν μου γέγονεν, ὅτι πρῶτός μου ἦν.
John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 彼の満全さの中から我々全てのものどもは摑み そして恩恵の代わりに恩恵を摑む.
ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ πληρώματος αὐτοῦ ἡμεῖς πάντες ἐλάβομεν καὶ χάριν ἀντὶ χάριτος.
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 それゆえ法(ノモス)はモーセを通して与えられ, 恩恵と真実は油塗られた者(キリスト)イエスを通して生起する.
ὅτι ὁ νόμος διὰ Μωϋσέως ἐδόθη, ἡ χάρις καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια διὰ Ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ ἐγένετο.
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 今まで神を誰も見なかった: 一人生起した子 父の懐に有る者, あれが示した.
Θεὸν οὐδεὶς ἑώρακεν πώποτε· ὁ μονογενὴς υἱὸς ὁ ὢν εἰς τὸν κόλπον τοῦ πατρός, ἐκεῖνος ἐξηγήσατο.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
19 さてヨハネの証(マルテュリアー)はそのようである 彼へ向かって送り出したとき ユダヤ人らがエルサレムから祭司らとレビ人らを “あなたは誰であるか?”と尋ねるべく,
καὶ αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ μαρτυρία τοῦ Ἰωάννου ὅτε ἀπέστειλαν πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἐξ Ἱεροσολύμων ἱερεῖς καὶ Λευείτας ἵνα ἐρωτήσωσιν αὐτόν· σὺ τίς εἶ;
And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 そして彼は同意し否定しなかった そして 私はその油塗られた者(キリスト)ではあるのではない と同意した.
καὶ ὡμολόγησεν καὶ οὐκ ἠρνήσατο καὶ ὡμολόγησεν ὅτι ἐγὼ οὐκ εἰμὶ ὁ χριστός.
And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 そして彼らは尋ねた: では誰か? あなたはエリアであるか? そして彼は言う: 私はあるのではない. その預言者であなたはあるか? そして彼は答えた: 否.
Καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτόν· τί οὖν; σὺ Ἠλείας εἶ; καὶ λέγει· οὐκ εἰμί. ὁ προφήτης εἶ σύ; καὶ ἀπεκρίθη· οὔ.
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 すると彼に彼らは言った: あなたは誰であるか? 我々を送った者たちに答えを与えるべく: あなたはあなた自身について何と言うか?
εἶπαν οὖν αὐτῷ· τίς εἶ; ἵνα ἀπόκρισιν δῶμεν τοῖς πέμψασιν ἡμᾶς· τί λέγεις περὶ σεαυτοῦ;
Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 彼は言った: 私は吠える声 荒野(寂しい所)において: 主の道を直くせよ と: 預言者イザヤが言ったように.
ἔφη· ἐγὼ φωνὴ βοῶντος ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ· εὐθύνατε τὴν ὁδὸν κυρίου· καθὼς εἶπεν Ἡσαΐας ὁ προφήτης.
He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
24 そして送り出された者たちは分離する者ら(パリサイオイ)の中からであった.
καὶ ἀπεσταλμένοι ἦσαν ἐκ τῶν Φαρισαίων
And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
25 そして彼らは彼に尋ねて彼に言った: ではなぜあなたは浸す(洗礼を授く)のか もしあなたが油塗られた者(キリスト)でもエリアでも預言者でもあるのではないなら?
καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· τί οὖν βαπτίζεις εἰ σὺ οὐκ εἶ ὁ χριστὸς οὐδὲ Ἠλείας οὐδὲ ὁ προφήτης;
And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
26 ヨハネは彼らに言って答えた: 私は水において浸す(洗礼を授く): あなたたちの中央に立っている あなたたちが知るのでない者が,
ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰωάννης λέγων· ἐγὼ βαπτίζω ἐν ὕδατι· μέσος ὑμῶν ἕστηκεν ὃν ὑμεῖς οὐκ οἴδατε,
John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
27 私の後に来る者が, 私は 彼の履物の紐を緩めるのに値するのであるのでない.
ὁ ὀπίσω μου ἐρχόμενος, οὗ οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐγὼ ἄξιος ἵνα λύσω αὐτοῦ τὸν ἱμάντα τοῦ ὑποδήματος.
he it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
28 それらのことはヨルダンの向こう側 ベタニヤにおいて起きた そこでヨハネは洗礼者(浸す者)であった.
ταῦτα ἐν Βηθανίᾳ ἐγένετο πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου ὅπου ἦν ὁ Ἰωάννης βαπτίζων.
These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 その翌日彼に向かって来るイエスを彼は見る そして言う: 視よ(イデ) 神の子羊, 世界(コスモス)の欠失(ハマルティアー)を持ち上げる者.
Τῇ ἐπαύριον βλέπει τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἐρχόμενον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ λέγει· ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ, ὁ αἴρων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου.
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
30 これがその上に私が言った者である: 男が私の後に来る それは私の前に生起した ゆえに私の第一で有る.
οὗτός ἐστιν ὑπὲρ οὗ ἐγὼ εἶπον· ὀπίσω μου ἔρχεται ἀνὴρ ὃς ἔμπροσθέν μου γέγονεν ὅτι πρῶτός μου ἦν.
This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
31 そして私は彼を知ってはいなかった,しかしイスラエルに彼が明らかにされるために, その私が来たことの故に私は水において浸す(洗礼を授く).
κἀγὼ οὐκ ᾔδειν αὐτόν, ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα φανερωθῇ τῷ Ἰσραήλ, διὰ τοῦτο ἦλθον ἐγὼ ἐν ὕδατι βαπτίζων.
And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32 そしてこう言って証した 私は見つめた 霊(プネウマ)が降るのを 鳩のように 天(ウーラノス)の中から, そして彼の方へ留まった.
καὶ ἐμαρτύρησεν Ἰωάννης λέγων ὅτι τεθέαμαι τὸ πνεῦμα καταβαῖνον ὡς περιστερὰν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν.
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
33 そして私は彼を知ってはいなかった, しかし水において浸す(洗礼を授く)ため私を送った者, これは私に言った: その者の方へ霊が降りまた同じ者の方へ留まるのをもしあなたが視るなら, それは神聖な(神に献げられた)霊において浸す(洗礼を授く)者である.
κἀγὼ οὐκ ᾔδειν αὐτόν, ἀλλ᾽ ὁ πέμψας με βαπτίζειν ἐν ὕδατι, ἐκεῖνός μοι εἶπεν· ἐφ᾽ ὃν ἂν ἴδῃς τὸ πνεῦμα καταβαῖνον καὶ μένον ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ βαπτίζων ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ.
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
34 そして私は見出した またこう証した それは神の子である.
κἀγὼ ἑώρακα καὶ μεμαρτύρηκα ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ.
And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
35 その翌日またヨハネが立っていた 彼の弟子たちの中から2人と.
Τῇ ἐπαύριον πάλιν ἱστήκει ὁ Ἰωάννης καὶ ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ δύο.
Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
36 そして歩き回っているイエスを見つめて言った: 見よ神の子羊だ.
καὶ ἐμβλέψας τῷ Ἰησοῦ περιπατοῦντι λέγει· ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ.
and looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
